"Carter Cashes In With Limited Late Model Score Saturday at Winchester"

"Brannon's Double Again With RUSH LM/ Pure Stock Wins, Wilkins a Seven-timer in Hobby Stocks"

By Doug Watson

Winchester VA, 6/13/26- Michael Carter put together a near perfect night and would score his first Limited Late win of the season Saturday night at Winchester Speedway. Carter's victory, aboard his Rocket Chassis No.15*, would make him the fifth different winner in the seven races run for the class this season.
After setting fourth fastest time in hot lap time trials, and then a win in his qualifying event, gave Carter the pole for the feature and he would make good on his opportunity as he would go on to pace all 20 laps. Eventual runner up Levi Crowl came from his fifth starting spot and would harass Carter over the closing circuits but was able to hold him off to secure his second career Limited victory at Winchester.
"Our car was great all night, it was flawless." Were the words from race winner Michael Carter. "I knew I had to keep it on the bottom until the track blew off and then I started searching and found us a solid line in turns three and four. Once my crew moved me up we had a good race with Levi and I thank him for running me clean." Current point leader Gerald Davis was third, seventh starting Austin Warrenfeltz took fourth with recent Winchester winner Codey Breeden completing the top five. Heats went to Michael Walls, Breeden and Carter.
In the 20 lap RUSH Late Model feature current points leader Devin Brannon drove to his second win in a row and 5th of the season with his potent Provinzino Race Cars No.137. Brannon left little doubt he was a class of the field as he darted into the race lead on the first lap and would never look back. Kristopher Hutton posted a season best second place finish, Bubby Tharp Jr also had a solid effort taking third, Branson Woodward was strong in fourth with defending track champion Davin Kaiser rounding out the top five. Heats went to Brannon and Woodward.
In a mirror image of last week's event Allen Brannon drove to his second consecutive and third win of the season in the 15-lap Pure Stock feature. Defending track champion and current point leader Walter Crouch took second, 7th starting Justin Holmes was third, with Andrew Kerr and 8th starting Bubba Sealock trailing at the finish. Heat went to Allen Brannon and Sam Hoffman.
In the 15 lap Hobby Stock feature defending track champion Jason Wilkins ran off uncontested to post his division leading 7th win of the season. Justin Hottle, Randy Linaburg, Shane McQuay and Larry Smith Jr. filled the front five. Wilkins and Hottle were heat winners.
